Inspiration: Radishes

{201} a handful of radishes.

Is it strange that I am inspired by radishes? There's just something about them that I love. The vivid shades of pink and red, the texture, the rustic look of vegetables pulled fresh from the soil. They've been showing up in my art a lot lately so I thought I'd share some photos that have been inspiring me lately (click the photos for their source).

What's been inspiring you lately?

i love spring, or more accurately, i love first radishes of the season. (76/365)

  1. I also am a big fan of food photography! I can't pinpoint exactly why but there is just something so inspiring about it. It's like a feast for your eyes! I've always felt inspired by the arrangement and display of food. For example, i'm not a huge fan of radishes but...some of those photos had me reconsidering! :) There is just something about a perfect presentation of food that makes it so much more appealing. I LOVE things arranged in proper proportions with garnishes and all that jazz! Isn't that part of why we all love to dine out so often? Food at home is usually not presented well...this should be changed. Why take the elegance out of homecooked meals? Hmmm...I think i've just discovered a new passion! Thanks:)
